Room-By-Room Organization: Bathroom

Next on the organization list is the bathroom..

Cabinets and sink tops can start to get messy quick, so these tips are super helpful for keeping this space spic and span.

1. Order – Try to have some sort of order to where and why you put things in certain spaces. Keep things that are used daily most convenient and other things stored away to keep surfaces from being cluttered.

2. Add storage – A common problem for most is simply not enough storage. Adding open shelving for pretty jars and dishes, baskets for towels, trays for toiletries, and even small cabinets for linens, etc. can Ā help while adding pretty touches to the room. Just remember to keep it simple and clean!

3. Organize drawers – For some reason under the sink and drawers in the bathroom are a deep cavern of mess for me! Things magically collect there and seem to hang out forever :) So, head to TJ Maxx (they have really cute drawer organizers) or wherever and invest in a few space and sanity savers. You won’t be sorry!

4. Purge - As stated above, lotions, hair accessories, nail polish, etc. seem to cling to the storage spaces of our bathrooms, so PURGE people! Make it a habit to go through your drawers and cabinets at least once a month and throw away what has expired and what you know you won’t be using again! Amazing how this clears up so much space – and time if you’re like me and have to dig through everything to find what I’m looking for..

Hope these tips help!

Happy Organizing ~

What a pretty bathroom. I miss a claw foot tub. Years ago we had one and it really was nice.
